Stepping to a new beat

Not to be remarkably stereotypical but the lyrics from Lady Gaga’s song, Gypsy: “So I just packed my baggage and/ said goodbye to family and friends/ and took the road to nowhere on my own,” resonate to the multitude of thoughts that I have been having. The move was relatively successful (see The Obsessive Compulsive Mover), and I am now living in the extraterrestrial space that is my parents’ basement; yes – the cliché is as harsh as it sounds. In the six days that I have been a subterranean, I have found ample clarity – likely from the copious tossings I have made and continue to do.

The job search has begun, the apartment hunting is in full swing, and panic is as frequent as the two cups of coffee I have before noon. But throughout all of this chaos, I can’t help but feel an atom of relief and relaxation. I have read significantly more, I have had more chances to write creatively (i.e. this blog), and I have finally gotten to a variety of projects which had been put on the back burner.

Hopefully, in the next few days I will have new content to post to this blog. As always, suggestions are welcome, but I will be brainstorming myself for ideas. Thanks for reading, once again.
